Viewday and your listings
Viewday helps buyers book property viewings. When a buyer saves one of your listings, we show them its key facts and send you their viewing request — a named, reachable buyer who wants to see the property. We don’t list properties, compete for your instruction, or charge you anything.
What buyers see
- The facts: price, tenure, lease length, charges, council tax, rooms, stations
- A short summary written by Viewday from those facts
- Photos loaded live from your own website or the portal’s image servers
- Your branch name, address and phone number — you’re who they’re booking with
- A link to your full listing, every time
What we never take
- Your description text — we write our own and link to yours
- Copies of your photographs — nothing is downloaded to our servers
- Anything behind a login, or from a site that blocks us
- Your leads — every enquiry we generate is sent to you, not kept from you
When we get in touch
Every email or call from Viewday is about one thing: a specific buyer asking to view a specific property, with dates that suit them. We contact the branch marketing that property, confirm the slot with the buyer, then confirm it back with you — so the appointment holds. We don’t cold-pitch, and a booking request is never a sales message in disguise.
The details we hold about your branch
To route viewing requests we hold what your public listing states: branch name, branch address, phone number, and the facts of the listing itself. Where a listing names a negotiator, we hold that name only to address the booking properly. The legal basis is legitimate interest — arranging viewings that buyers have asked us to arrange. We don’t sell this information, and we delete listing records that go stale.
You can ask what we hold, correct it, or have it removed: agents@viewday.co.uk. If we haven’t resolved a data concern to your satisfaction, you can raise it with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Remove or confirm — one email, honoured in 24 hours
If you’d rather your listings didn’t appear on Viewday at all, say so once and it applies to your whole branch or brand, permanently. Removals are actioned within 24 hours and logged. If you’re happy for buyers to see your listings here, telling us that unlocks a fuller page for them — your photos and description, credited and linked.
For your web team
When Viewday reads a page from your site, it identifies itself honestly as Viewday/0.1 (+https://viewday.co.uk/agents). Fetches happen when a buyer asks about a specific property — single pages, rate limited, never a crawl of your stock. We respect robots.txt, so blocking that user agent stops us entirely; an email works just as well.
